Urban Hiking Tour
Experience 360 views of San Francisco in this urban hike that takes you via city sidewalks from secret staircases through 6+ urban parks to our final destination of a local-legend restaurant and bar* in time for late lunch.
Time: 11am, 2.5 hours; Saturday and Sunday
Distance: 4 miles, 800ft of elevation gain including stairs, 25-minute-per-mile pace (we’ll adjust for the hills!)
Sites: Coit Tower, 6+ secret (and not-so-secret) parks including Francisco Park and Washington Square Park; views of Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge
Cost: $49/person public, private tours $350 for up to 8 guests
Group size: 8 people; children 12 and under not permitted
Starting point: Fort Mason, fairly accessible via the 30, 28, 43 bus lines; this is a point-to-point hike–the ending point will be different from the starting point
Logistics: Rain or shine; bathrooms available along the route; good walking shoes needed but no hiking gear; layers recommended as the weather is unpredictable
