FAQs

  • The tours take place on paved sidewalks and well-cared-for trails, so any athletic shoe will suffice. San Francisco has a temperate climate with afternoon winds most of the year (stronger on the West side of the city and on top of hills). Wear, layers, layers, layers – short or long-sleeved shirt, vest/light jacket/windbreaker, sweatshirt plus long pants are advised much of the year.

  • All tours will include one or more public bathroom stops, many of which have drinking fountains. You should bring your own water and light snack, however, to be prepared.

  • While we want all our family members (two- and four-legged alike) to be able to have the same experiences as us, due to the duration and complexity of the routes, children 12 and under and dogs are not permitted.
